






Why CPO® Training?
The Certified Pool-Spa Operator (CPO®) course is essential training for public and semi-public pool operators and swimming pool service professionals. The two-day training class, which is taught by award-winning certified instructors with extensive teaching and hands-on field experience, includes the following topics and much more:

- Pool and spa calculations for maximum accuracy and efficiency
- Water disinfection and balance, chemical additions and safety
- Circulation, filtration, chemical feeders and automation
- Health code compliance and facility safety
- Efficient operations and management

The class and open-book exam are presented in English. Students will receive the Pool & Spa Operator Handbook by mail prior to the class. A Spanish text book is also available for purchase. The nationally recognized CPO® certification is valid for five years. Students: Please bring a calculator, pens or pencils, highlighters and Post-It flags to class. (Please note: Cell phone calculators may not be used during the CPO® Certification Examination.)

Meet The Team


Todd Schwab

Todd has over 23 years of pool industry experience with 13 years in the semi-public and public pool sector. For many years he handled the Las Vegas and Phoenix markets, specializing in big water and automation in the hotel and apartment industry. He has been teaching CPO for 13 years in several states. For the last 8 years he has been working as an Independent Representative marketing current and new products in the pool industry.

Jay Siegel

Jay has over 13 years of experience with public and semi-public pools in the Las Vegas and Phoenix markets. For hotel, motel and multi-housing engineers, Jay quickly became their go-to guy for his technical knowledge. He started teaching proper pool care classes to groups of maintenance supervisors, managers & engineers. His natural teaching abilities led him to become a Certified Pool-Spa operator instructor in 2013.

John Sims

John has over 13 years pool industry experience in public, semi-public & residential pools in the Metro-Phoenix and Northern AZ markets. John's expertise is in automation, water chemistry and water testing. He has been a CPO class instructor since 2013.
John has been and continues to be a dedicated Commercial Account Executives sales professional specializing in chemicals, equipment, installation and training.

Michael Feely

Michael started maintaining swimming pools and hot tubs in 1995 as a maintenance worker for a local health club in Albuquerque, New Mexico. In 1996, he started working as a sales rep for SODECO Modern Water Systems which specializes in helping commercial swimming pools and hot tubs. In 2017, he was promoted to General Manager. After 27 years years of assisting people with their pools and hot tubs, Michael accomplished his goal and became a CPO Instructor.

Angel
Torres

Angel is a dedicated professional with over 14 year's experience in the pool service industry. As the Chief Operating Officer of a residential and commercial pool service and repair company primarily in Arizona, she has earned multiple commendations as Best In Town. Using her extensive experience, she is now committed to educating and preparing the next generation of pool professionals.
